About

I'm James, I’m new to thumbtack but I’m not new to quality craftsmanship. I’m a licensed General Contractor with 15+ years of residential renovation experience across the Bay Area. While I’m between larger projects, I fill my time doing handyman work. I can likely help you with any of your carpentry, installation or repair needs, including some electrical and plumbing. I pride myself on clear communication, cleanliness and customer service. If you have bigger projects in mind, I can also help with that. Licensed, insured, and local. Hablo español. I am a husband and girl dad of a 18 month year old.

James was my project manager for my whole house remodel with another company. The project had a rough start with several manager changes, disorganized scheduling, and firing of my first contractor. I was doubting my decision to trust this company until James was assigned as my PM.James was great to work with. He was communicative, thorough, and made sure that my requests were answered. He showed up daily to review the tasks and check on the progress with his team.James was also reachable after the project completed. He quickly addressed any necessary fixes, and I felt comfortable knowing that my project was completed the right way.Im sure hed do the same for your project!

James gave my partner and I great advice on a major building project in our rental here in Oakland and I couldn't be happier with the way that the work turned out. James' experience, know-how and deep connections within the Oakland handyman community made our project a success! James is a great communicator and listener....helping clients realize their vision for their space without any macho bs. I loved my experience working with James and would definitely do so again if the opportunity arises.
