Miss Ayaka tutored my daughter for her AP Japanese exam. She helped her immensely as her lessons were well-planned and challenging. She was also so kind and made the lessons fun and enjoyable which yeilded such a nice rapport with my daughter. I highly recommend!

Ayaka Sensei is a really great Japanese tutor! I took Japanese in a group class before learning 1:1 with Ayaka and she’s very adapting to what I have learned before. She created a lesson plan from the get-go and as we progressed through the weeks, she would make changes to the lesson plan when she knew I have already learned the materials before, so that I will always have new things to learn or I can review things that I may have forgotten. Her weekly homeworks are very straightforward from the vocab we talked about during the lesson. Also, I had to reschedule a few times because of other things, and I let her know ahead, she was flexible to help me find another timeslot for the lessons. I think after learning with Sensei, I’m confident to carry out an elementary level Japanese conversation with locals (age, birthday, directions, asking for price, etc). I highly recommend Ayaka Sensei if anyone ever needs a private Japanese tutor!

I have been having the Japanese lessons for over a month and really enjoy the learning experience. Akaya creates a lesson plan for my needs and shares learning materials ahead of the class. She also helps review my homework and regularly checks on the learning progress. Her interactive and dynamic teaching style makes the class quite fun. Apart from studying Japanese I also learn a lot about Japanese culture from the class. Will definitely recommend Akaya as an amazing Japanese tutor!

Lessons with Ayaka-san are always fun! I take group lessons with my boyfriend and the slides she makes for each lesson is very easy to follow, and sends them to you through email so I can review on my own time. She is also very patient when I have questions or need help. Definitely recommend!

あやかさんはいいせんせいです! Translation: Ayaka is a great teacher! I’ve only been taking her lessons once a week and my Japanese has improved tremendously. I went for only knowing a few phrases here and there(mainly from anime), to being able construct my own sentences. She is very kind, and is willing to answer any question you may have about the lesson as well as supplying you with enough materials to study from so no textbook is required. Also, she creates the lessons so that they are catered to your needs and learning capability. Overall, I highly recommend her class as she makes learning Japanese both fun and interesting!
