- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The scope of pricing depends on the type of material that fits your needs. I will give you a base estimate of what type of material you will need, how much material, what needs to be done, and the estimate time frame it will take the project to be completed. If you buy the material. I WILL ONLY CHARGE YOU FOR THE LABOR. If you decide that you want me to get the material(metal, consumables; gas, welding wires, polishers, grinding rocks, paint finishes, etc). There will be a 20% charge on the price of the material for my time and 15% for me housing the material at my shop. The subtotal comes up to 35%. Covering for my time, field measurements, consumables, and storing of material. My hourly rate would be an estimate of how much time I think it will take to complete the project. 3 hours minimum charge to every project. $95.00USD per hour. ( Fabrication , welding ) $125.00 USD per hour. ( Field welding; welding outside or on site) I AM ONLY CHARGING FOR LABOR!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will go over what kind of projects you're going to be working on via a phone conversation or text message. Photos are to be presented with clear instructions of what needs to be done and I will give you a rough idea of what kind of material you will need, how much it will cost for material, cost of project and lead time. I want to be completely upfront and honest. I certainly do not want to waste your time nor mines.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the field for 6 years. I started off as a ship fitter building ships& repairing. I joined the IRON WORKERS union to continue my passion for welding and fabricating with all types of different type of metal works for my journeyman status.
