Introduction: Hello! My name is Jen, and I'm a 26-year-old assistant aquatic director at U.C. Berkeley who would love nothing more than to teach you or your child to swim. Swimming and swimming instruction are my passions that I enjoy sharing with others. I have 10 years of experience working with children and adults of all ages, including children with fear of water, special needs, and other specific circumstances. I have experience coaching swimming at the masters level and waterpolo. I am lifeguard and lifeguard instructor certified, emergency medical responder certified as well as CPR certified for the professional rescuer (adult and pediatric). I live in the Oakland area, but would be willing to travel in the evenings to either teach at your home or local community pool. Swim lessons can be expensive and often impersonal. As someone who has worked in aquatic programs for a long time, my wish is that your child will get a quality experience at a cost less than what you would pay at a swim school. My rates are as follows: * A single private lesson (30 minutes) -- $40 * A package of five private lessons -- $175 * A package of 10 private lessons -- $300 Before any lessons are taught, a swim lesson agreement will be signed as well as payment in full. Because I work full-time, I will only be taking on one to two clients depending on location and the amount of lessons that are paid for.
