FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually only offer half day or full day rates. Projects like weddings or smaller productions where I am wearing many hats I will charge a flat rate per project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always start off by asking a lot of questions. If it’s a couple looking to get married I want to know about their story together, if it’s a business looking for a product video then I want to know what they stand for. I want to make sure our values align and feel out how we mesh together on a personal level. Once I feel like I have a good grasp on who the customer is I want to know about their vision for the project. What they are trying to accomplish and how can I help them get there? What are their expectations of me and what do I need from them in order to be successful? Once all of this is established we have to talk about the big one, budget. Do they have enough money to bring their ambitious vision to life? If so, great! If not, let’s talk about what we can do to get maximum production value with the amount they have.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Motion Picture & Television from Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California.
