Mark did really beautiful work framing out our windows in white oak. He showed up, had all the materials and got the work done when he said he would for the price he quoted. We look forward to doing more projects with him.
Details: Interior trim or decorative molding installation • Residential

Mark was amazing to work with. He always showed up on time, worked hard, and cleaned up when he left. We trusted him with access to our home and the job turned out amazing. He did drywall work and amazing cabinet work in our garage space. I accidentally paid him more than I was supposed to and before I realized my mistake he refunded my over payment! I will definitely refer Mark to people I know and use him again in the future!

Hired Trademark Build to install baseboard (140 linear feat). They couldn't do midweek ("way too busy") so we scheduled back to back Saturdays. An employee (Ray) almost finished the job the first Saturday (8:30 am - 3:30 pm), but still had another 7-8 feet to do in the primary bedroom. FYI - this 7-8 foot section was over the original 140 feet estimated in the contract. I said I'd pay for the extra 8 feet and also asked if they could do some additional baseboard (other areas) when they came back to finish the original job. Mark said yes (for additional $) and updated the quote. Apparently they got larger (paying) jobs because it took a few weeks to nail down a day (a Sunday) to finish things up. Mark (owner) came over on Sunday to complete the original baseboard install and also knock out the additional requested (about 35 linear feet), but he opted not to do any of it. He said we went over our 140 linear feet (original contract) and that was that - too bad so sad, have a nice day. Then it dawned on me that he probably had no intention of doing any work that day . . . just wanted to come over to collect final payment and skip out. I cut him a check/final payment then walked him out the door.
Details: Baseboards • Drywall • Yes, I will provide the molding or trim • This is just an installation job - no design needed • Engineered wood • 81 - 160 ft • I do not need it painted or stained

Hey Eric,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. I'll do my best to respond clearly, direct, and respectfully.
You were very nice in being flexible with scheduling. I let you know upfront that we were very busy but we would do our best to take care of you job. Ray did what was asked of him in the 140 linear feet of baseboard (I realized later that the original quote was actually for 130 linear feet) He mentioned that there was nothing to terminate the new baseboard to. So he finished what was asked of him (140 linear feet).
I sent you a bank transfer invoice for the project so you did not have to pay a processing fee. You said that you would void the contract if we did not finish the job. I was unaware that the project wasn't finished so I told you that I would come myself to finish whatever was not done.
I texted you (Eric):
"Sweet, just to be clear we'll only finish the first quote (140 ft) only. As unfortunately we don't have time to do the added work"
You responded:
" Okay - sounds good. I have all the xtra baseboard needed. Would be great (if time) if someone could cut the door hinge grooves but understand if not"
I went the day before to our other job to get all the tools needed to complete the project. I arrived on Sunday you showed me all that needed to be done and seemed way more than I had expected. I quickly realized that it looked like we had finished our job so I told Eric that I'd measure what we had completed then talk about what needed to be done to finish the original contract (140 ft) . I measured 148 linear feet. I did not appreciate that Eric was trying to get me to do more than we had agreed upon. I told him that we had completed our contract and that I will take the check. Eric was very respectful and nice.
I understand there was miscommunication and that can be frustrating. I do not understand nor appreciate you assuming my intensions for not expecting to do any work that day. Your tone and words in this review are very different than they were in person.
I have never in my life left a job unfinished. As anyone can see our great track record this should not be the case. I am in no way perfect and am committed to be the best I can be. I texted and called you trying to smooth this out and you ignored them both. I am more than willing to resolve this if you are willing. I really do appreciate your feedback as it makes us better as a team. Thank you for your time
Respectfully,
Mark

We haven’t had any work done by Mark yet but we did get a quote for a few things and we did have him come out to do a small job. It ended up not working out because a fault of ours, but Mark was always so kind, prompt and easy to communicate with. We hope to be able to hire him for future projects.

Mark installed 10 floating shelves in 2 separate full height niches in our living room and did a fantastic job. I could have used all 5 options above if available. I reached out on 4/22, received a proposal later in afternoon, sealed the deal on 4/23 and Mark started working on them in his shop over the weekend. We scheduled the install for 4/27 and was completed 4/28, it doesn't get any better that! Both Mark and Tom who helped him were both delightful people with an attention to detail and protection of adjacent finishes Saving up for more shelving in the office! Please see finished pictures below.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In terms of pricing, I've learned that Its my responsibility to get a good scope of whats needed for a project. I pride myself on my word, so if I bid a price of a job thats the price I guarantee. If for some reason, upon first arrival of the job site I see issues that may come up and/or wasn't aware of I will let you know to alter the original bid.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, I make sure I have the best grasp of what is needed to get the job done thoroughly and pleasantly. I've learned over the years that the better I cover all basses the more enjoyable the whole process will be. There's no need for a job to be stressful for both contractor or customer.
I'll ask for measurements, pictures of work area, reference pictures of what they'd like done and major concerns the customer has for the project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In terms of training and education, Ive had the privilege of working in so many different types of construction with so many pros that I've been able to develop a style of work that fits well with me and my team.
