- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge the standard fee for signature notarized plus an additional travel fee depending on location. I will discount my travel fee if the signer is willing to meet me closer or in the middle. Also, after a certain amount of signatures notarized, I may just waive the travel fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually ask what needs to be notarized, just to make sure I am authorized by my state to do so. Then we confirm where and when we will be meeting, the agreed fee, and address any additional questions or concerns the customer may have prior to our meeting.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Aside being a commissioned notary public, I also have additional training and am a certified NSA, meaning Notary Signing Agent. That means I am approved by title and escrow companies to handle signings pertaining to real estate, and not just the notary forms.
