Introduction: I am an Emmy Award winning director, cinematographer, editor, and photographer with a passionate, driven, open-mind, and professional work ethic. I am constantly striving for new challenges and opportunities and am determined to make the world a better place with photography and film. Whether I'm pitching creative ideas, experimenting with a different visual style, or learning a new technology, I strive to find the most creative and genuine way to capture a moment. With my extensive professional experience, skillset, and driven character, I am confident I can take on any job thrown my way. I am a recent graduate from Chapman University with a BFA in Film Production, specializing in Directing. Before studying at Chapman University, I worked for five years at Channel Films (formally Alaska Channel); an award winning video production company based in my hometown of Anchorage, Alaska. During my time there, I had a diverse and growing clientele that had a preference to work with me on their productions because of the positive and professional working relationship I formed with them. My personal highlight was directing and editing a short documentary called Cold Water Survivors for the State of Alaska Office of Boating Safety. Cold Water Survivors received a Northwest Regional Emmy Award in 2014. I have worked on hundreds of productions ranging from short films to commercials to music videos to documentaries. I consider myself a jack of all trades, proficient in directing, cinematography, editing, and photography. I have years of experience working one-on-one with clients to discuss their video needs, brainstorming creative ways to communicate their ideas, and putting the plan to action within production and post. I am always open to new ideas and suggestions from who I am working with to ensure the product exceeds expectations. I have also been photographing professionally for the past 7 years specializing in portraiture, engagements, nature/landscapes, documentary, and conceptual photography. My work has been featured in several newspaper articles, in an art, culture, and music magazine for 3 years, and has also been in a traveling fine-art photography exhibition in my home state of Alaska. I love to capture the truest and most authentic side of people to help them tell their own unique stories and to save those memories in time. I love telling visual stories! I really enjoy getting to know humans and the intricacies of their lives. Everyone has a little bright light inside them, just trying to wiggle it's way out. A few years ago my band had the privilege of working with Nicholas Bradford, who was hired to take promotional photos for our debut album and album release celebration. Nicholas was full of creative ideas with every location we visited. I wasn't particularly excited to take part in a photoshoot, but Nicholas was extremely professional and was able to create a very fun environment which made us feel comfortable and relaxed during the shoot. It turned out to be a super fun day! After the shoot, Nicholas was very prompt with sending us photo edits, and we couldn't have been happier with the final images - many of which helped land us features on numerous notable music blogs! I can't wait for the next opportunity to work with Nicholas, and continue to recommend him to friends and colleagues who are searching for photographers for hire, regardless of the occasion!

Trust me when I say that Nick is not only one of the most talented photographers you can work with, but perhaps one of the sweetest, most genuine people you can hope to meet. I asked Nick to help me photograph a sensitive subject for a film, and his professionalism, plus his sweet nature made this project special and enjoyable. He went out of his way to make everyone comfortable. Nick respects everybody, and it showed. The photographs he took could be shown in a museum- that sounds like high praise because it absolutely is! He worked his magic and transformed what seemed like mundane poses into powerful art. He created a photobook that people in my college still talk about! Nick is incredible, you'd be making a mistake choosing anybody but him.

Nick shot some very intimate photos for an important short film prop. The album dealt with masculinity and the nude male body, involving first-time models as well as people who were not used to posing nude. It was crucial to have a talented photographer who was capable of being imaginative and productive during the shoot, while simultaneously sensitive and comfortable with everyone involved. Nick was just that. He's a fun and very open-minded artist who invests in whatever task you assign him to. He encourages a casual and experimental dynamic while always welcoming new ideas or suggestions. He's also very prompt, and would sit down with me after every shoot to review and curate the shots. I highlight recommend him for both his personable and excited attitude, as well as his keen and sensitive eye for photography.

Nicholas embodies everything professional photographers should. From demeanor to skill he knows how to make his work stand out. He is skilled technically and also knows how to show powerful emotion through his photography. I have worked with Nicholas on several occasions for head shots and film shooting. He is easy going and knows how to efficiently get shots whether portrait or film production done so eloquently. He is able to bring a subject to life beautifully with his camera. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing varies based on the clients needs and expectations. I take all information from the job posting into account before making a quote to ensure it is a fair price for the work and equipment that will be involved. I always strive to stay within the client's budget and I will never hide additional fees. If for any reason the finished product does not meet your expectations, I am happy to spend additional time at no extra cost in order to make you happy!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get a through understanding of any and all expectations. First, I like to discuss style, tone, and the overall aesthetic of the finished work. I often request visual examples of what the client would like the finished product to look like to help me better understand what they are thinking. After an initial discussion about style and tone, I write up a brief project overview (if necessary) to ensure we are all on the same page as to the expectations of the job.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
For five years, I worked at a video production company as a Director, Cinematographer, and Editor. During my time there, I worked on hundreds of productions. I have directed, shot, and edited commercials that went to broadcast television and online, short documentaries, promotional films for businesses. I am also a recent graduate from Chapman University with a BFA in Film Production, specializing in directing.
