Introduction: As both a Certified Dog Trainer and an Associate Certified Dog Behavior Consultant I offer my clients the most up to date methods, years of experience, and a thorough understanding and application of dog behavior, body language, and learning. We educate owners on the whys and then show how to correct the behavior. Our goal is to prevent dogs from ending up in the shelter and increase the number of happy successful adoptions across the valley.
I use only scientifically proven, humane, and the most successful methods. I take between 32 and 40 continuing education units each year. I am a member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) and The Pet Professionals Guild (PPG). I am also an AKC certified Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Community Canine, and Urban Canine Evaluator & Trainer. I am also an evaluator for Therapy Pets Unlimited.
I have been Training in obedience and sports and providing Behavior Adjustment Training for over 15 years in the Coachella Valley. I have been providing county mandated dangerous and aggressive dog training for the past 6 years.
As a veterinary technician I teach a CPR & First Aid course for dog and cat owners, as well as a dog and child safety program for multiple daycare's and local schools throughout the valley.
I obtained my higher education degrees in Education and my Paralegal Certificate. I earned my dog training and behavior certifications alongside my higher learning so I fully understand the ins and outs of not just training dogs, but helping people to train and understand their dogs, and teaching children safety around their dogs.
We have many wonderful trainers in our area but I like to think that I provide a wholistic approach to dog training and behavior that does not just focus on the dogs behavior but also the needs of the family.
Going into a home where people are at their wits end with their dogs behavior. I love getting to help them understand their dog and why they are doing things as well as teach them how to correct and replace the negative behaviors with positive ones. I thoroughly enjoy the ability to teach a family and their dog to have fun with training while reaping the positive benefits of their work.
