Hi Debbie: I am sorry you chose not to continue the program. Like I stated before this is a results based program and you canceled and decided to go a different route less than 1 hour prior to our 2nd training session after our 90minute initial consultuation. A) we have had 1 lesson and one initial consult which doesnt involve much training as it does learn about you and your dog and your specific needs. I offered multiple lessons per week or 1 longer lesson per week were you could practice and reinforce. You ooted for 1 lesson per week. C) the issues with Ted per our initial consult were: barking, jumping, aggressively grabbing your bassett hound by the neck for an unknown reason. Not listening and difficulty with him and all 3 dogs together and his chasing of his tail. D) I brought my externs so we could work all 3 dogs at one time as well as reinforce teds greetings of other people as he was nipping and jumping on you guys and others. By the end of the lesson all 3 were preforming leave it and wait together for you and patrick. We determined that Ted was actively resource guarding items and spaces against both your Bassett hound and labrador. This was to get each dog to master their skills and have capable assistance shouod an issue artist. Then you amd Patrick learned to ask for and enforce the same behaviors. D) ted has had marked improvement per your statements in his jumping and nipping on others, his obsessive compulsive tail chasing as you learned redirection and reinforcement techniques of proper behaviors and added enrichment to his daily routine. E) there were also concerns of his jumping on you before you even got out of bed in the morning. F) our 2nd scheduled lesson you guys neexed to cancel due to being ill and you asked we postpone it to the next week. We did. Then I needed to reschedule this past weeks and was set to come today. G) ted and you have learned sit down wait leave it and behavioral interventions for anxiety and OCD. I am sorry if you feel I am not a professional trainer or there was somehow a miscommunication as to how often lessons are done etc. I have been doing this for 15 years and I have a positive track record thus far. I do results based programs which means we work until results are achieved. If you had questions or concerns like I state at each lesson feel free to call or email me to let me know. Aside from scheduling i have had nothing but positive remarks from you but I understand if you wish to choose a different trainer. Hiring a trainer is not like a magic wand. It requires consistency with the material taught from the owners to gain results. The whole goal was to come in and help you and your husband live happily with am understimulated and under mannered German shephered puppy. We were on the right track and again I am sorry you opted to go a different route as I know if you stuck with the program you all would have benefited. Best of luck to you all.
Tabitha seems to know why dogs do what they do. Also no negative training procedures. Always positive to dog.Jan 19, 2018Verified

I spoke with several trainers. Many used words I did not understand and had to Google. I have a masters degree in business but that doesnt mean I understand technical jargen. Not only did ms.davies provide explanations that were easy to understand she also explained some of the things I didnt understand from other trainers and if she applies those methods or principles in her training and why. She gave me some advice to try with my dog before our first session which is in 3 days and my godness it has already majorly helped us all out. So very excited Mylie and I are to meet you and futher go down this path to a well behaved puppy.Aug 5, 2017Verified
