- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with an initial conversation discussing your goals and the scope of the project. Once we set the direction and formalize our commitment with a contract and initial retainer deposit we can move forward with design. We will prepare a design for your approval including floor plans/layouts; finishes; furnishings; fixtures; materials and accessories. Once approved we will move forward with executing the design. Depending on the scope this part of the process can take from a few weeks to a few months. Final step is the installation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am continually seeking education about the latest developments and trends in the interior design and home building industries. I attend trade events featuring new products, advances in technology and building practices. I also embrace opportunities to learn more about the rich history of architecture and design. Some of the most influential pioneers in architecture and design have left their amazing mark on the landscape of the Southland.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Working with an interior designer adds value to your project. I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience that assures you will be making the best choices from curated sources available to the trade only. I will keep your project on time, on budget and avoid costly mistakes.
