I needed my old kitchen cabinets painted. James was the first to respond to my several inquiries on Thumbtack. He gave me an estimate very quickly based on emailed photos which allowed me to discuss this further with my husband and decide if he should come out to see our kitchen. He was out in a matter of days and then the ball started rolling. He carefully explained the process and what we needed to do to be ready for the work. James also offered advice on color choices which were spot on! His crew was very careful to protect other areas and were very respectful. Each cabinet and drawer (we have 39) was carefully numbered for correct replacement before they were removed. We actually had Style painting not only paint our cabinets but paint the kitchen too and I could not be more thrilled. We had 20 year old veneer cabinets that had quite a bit of damage, they were able to repair the damage and make my cabinets look like new. They were a light birch with wear and stains around all the fixtures. I liked the fixtures so did not replace them, the cabinets were painted a light gray and the walls and ceiling white. The price was remarkably less then most of the other bids I received (I contacted 6 different companies, not all through Thumbtack). I do not only base my decision on price but also how I am treated by the owner when I reach out. My project may not be the biggest or most lucrative, but it is very important to me. James was great to work with, we will have him come back to paint the exterior of our home too.
Details: Both, wall and base cabinets • 16 or more cabinets • Wood stain • Full repainting in lighter color

James painted our cabinets, ceiling, interior walls and baseboards. He and his team did a great job masking everything and painting the cabinets. They worked long days (8-5) and six days a week. James gives great advice and feedback on colors, finishes, and method he would use. He doesn’t try to up sell you either. Highly recommend!
Details: Home • 7 rooms • Walls • Ceiling • Trim • Doors • 10 - 14 feet • Repainting - color change • Fair - minor holes and scratches • No, this is not new construction • No, I will move things out of the way myself

James and his team were really excellent. The quoted price was reasonable to paint all rooms in my house except the kitchen (which was recently remodeled). It was a very professional job and the improvement is amazing.
We have an old house with plaster walls and ceilings, which occasionally crack over time. James' team repaired all cracks in the ceilings and walls, and matched the texture perfectly. Everything looks brand new. Really amazing.
I should also note that we were living in the house at the same time as the work was done. James worked with us to move things from room to room over a series of days to make that possible. I know it was not ideal for him and his crew to have us (and our dogs) there, but he was very nice about it and was flexible.
I believe the job took longer than he anticipated, but he and his team got it done without rushing or cutting corners, and he stuck to the contracted price.
I also appreciated James' advice. He was very helpful in deciding on the brand, sheen and type of paint we would need for our home.
I would definitely hire Style Painting again, and I highly recommend this service to anyone. They will make your home look brand new!

It was a very good experience! I needed a room painted on short notice, and James and his crew made it happen. I'm very happy with the experience and the job they did for the room they painted. Thank you!

James and his team painted our living/dining room and office walls (2 coats) + trim and baseboards in less than 8 hours. They were professional and reasonably priced. I especially appreciated how neat, tidy, and courteous they were. When we came home, all the furniture they had moved was put back nicely and there was hardly a trace they had been there (except for the brand new paint job)! James was very responsive via email, phone, and text and provided a very comprehensive consultation before we decided to hire him. I would recommend Style Painting to anyone looking for a speedy, friendly, and professional painting team.
