My dad started this business in 1992 we are a family owned and operated business located in Redwood City. I learned some of the skills of the trade from my dad and quickly learned from other experts in the field. We have been in business for over 20 years, as a family owned business we also have knowledge and experience in roofing and gutter installation. We have 10 years of experience working for licensed companies doing commercial work. We strive to not only offer our clients the best value but the knowledge and attention they deserve. Every job site is insured so our clients have the peace in mind. What makes us different from others is that we are capable of out beating our competitors prices because we have the equipment, employees and experience to complete a job to your satisfactory standards. The best part is, we don’t charge our clients outrageous prices we are fair because we want to build the relationship with our client for many years. I had seen the Hummingbird truck around Menlo Park and browsing around found them on Thumbtack. My property needed some garden cleaning, weeding and trimming. Juan gave me some guidance and told me each phase of maintenance they focus on as season changes. Thanks Juan

I was searching in need of a gardener that could take care of my properties landscape needs. Out of the 5 companies I reached out to, Hummingbird provided me a great quote plus I felt more secured because Juan explained they carry work insurance for property and employees. One of my concerns was that I had 2 properties located in an area where gas powered leaf blowers are prohibited. Juan explained that they carry electric leaf blowers but also all electric powered equipment to use for those locations which was an extra bonus why I chose them!

Juan was responsible for our lawn maintenance for roughly the last one year. He used to tend to our lawn once every month and his services included mowing, leaf blowing, occasional fertilization / weed removal / re-seeding. Overall, the quality of his work was good. However, we faced quite a few problems working with him because of which we would not recommend him to others: 1. Responsiveness / Punctuality / Professionalism: Juan was rarely on time, often didn't respond to our messages and we had to reschedule multiple times before getting service. He would rarely check on us; the responsibility of initiating the service was always on us. 2. Not adhering to agreed-upon services: We would agree to a certain service (e.g. re-seeding) and Juan would forget about it and suggest he would do it next time. This happened way too often. Overall, the result of having Juan as our lawn maintenance service provider is a debilitated lawn with dry patches and weeds. Now, we will need to spend a lot of extra money to get the lawn in shape.
