Introduction
I’ve been practicing yoga for over 20 years, and to say I’m passionate about it would be an understatement. I was first introduced to yoga in high school during a dance class, and it continued to reappear in my life in meaningful ways. By college, I was practicing regularly, and it quickly became a grounding force for me. Yoga has been a constant source of strength, balance, community, and healing—and it’s my joy to share that with others.
In November 2024, I took a leap and earned my 200-hour teaching certification in beautiful Bali, Indonesia, guided and encouraged by a fellow yogi and close friend. My teaching approach is grounded, compassionate, and responsive to each student’s unique needs—whether you’re brand new to yoga or looking to deepen an existing practice. I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where students can build strength, increase flexibility, and connect more deeply with themselves—on and off the mat.
To make each session even more unique, every class includes a complimentary cup of homemade chai—a small way to continue the warmth and mindfulness beyond the mat.

Rachel is a kind, down-to-earth, and body-positive yoga instructor. Her playlists are eclectic, blending meditative vibes with indie and pop flare. She has a wonderful practice of inviting class participants to place "consent cuties" (small oranges) at the top of their mats to indicate whether or not they're okay with being touched during the class. I found this to be a brilliantly simple way to build trust through a nonverbal consent process. Her attitude was upbeat and friendly, and she also brought delicious chai for the class to drink after the asana practice. Yum!

I loved my private group session with Rachel! Rachel hosted a session for my girlfriends and I. She walked us through a variety of techniques and was very personable in her approach. She also gave us options for beginners like me, which I super appreciated. I would definitely do another session. Highly recommend!

My Yoga session with Rachel was truly one of a kind! She offered me a one-on-one session and was accommodating of my preferences -coming to my home, suiting my schedule. Rachel was warm, uplifting and open. She quickly honed in to me, my starting point and goals. Importantly, she took my beginner insecurities into account and gently incorporated them to our session. She adjusted the experience based on my fitness level. Rachel meaningfully answered my questions before, during, and after the session. I instantly felt a high level of comfort and ease with her. She never rushed anything.
Rachel came prepared and added many personalized touches to our time, bringing the best chai tea I’d ever had, great music playlists, an extra yoga mat and yoga blocks for me to borrow, and an especially thoughtful /curated sequence of dynamic flows to practice which were derived from her 20 years of practicing yoga. Together, these formed a perfect ark- getting centered, progression and recentering.
Rachel synced her direction/teaching/guidance to me in a soft manner with breath work, positions, attunement, while slowing down or picking up to choreograph a fluid experience. She provided clear explanations and examples for all poses, noting physical and sensory experiences.
By the end of our session I felt profoundly calm and energized, connected with my body in a special way and could take on the demands of the day, restored.

I loved my session with Rachel! She led us through a thoughtful and creative flow that incorporated breathing exercises, vinyasa and deep stretching. For me it was a nice blend of familiar poses and stuff that was totally new. By the end of the the session I felt totally relaxed and rejuvenated. I will definitely be continuing to work with her and highly recommend her services!
