FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We typically work in phases of $3,000 each phase. For any type of design, we consider that Phase 1. This includes onsite measurements, a 3D model, architectural plans, and renderings as well as different design options. For example, a small project like an ADU would be $3,000 for one week (6 days, 8 hours per day) of design work that is roughly $30 per hour for a team of two. Mixed-use would be a larger project and would still fall under phase 1 but that would be $6,000 for design and architectural drawings. Phase 2 is permitting and our rates are $3,000-$6000 for us to take the project along until permitted.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started doing 3d models at the age of 11, when my grandfather had seen my interest in drawing mazes and then purchased the Archicad software program, to learn how to make my mazes into 3D buildings. My parents as well are both interior designers and I had sewn customizations on draperies and hand-painted curtain rods with gold leaf.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with many different clients, from homeowners to large business owners, to real estate developers, to even someone's pig that needed a special custom door made!
