Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, I can help you hone your skills and further develop a passion for music. I’ve been teaching for over 3 years, and am currently the Music Director at a local music school. I work with beginners and advanced students of all ages. I have experience across a wide array of musical genres and instruments.

Garrett is simply a fantastic teacher. His easygoing nature and sense of humor make him a pleasure to work with and the quality of his instruction is top notch. He has a fantastic ear and was able to, in real time, listen to a tune for the first time and immediately start teaching it. He breaks complex tunes down into manageable part and does a great job showing his fretboard movements during lessons. With his broad musical knowledge he can teach any genre, and I would recommend Garrett to ANY player without hesitation. Seriously, take a lesson with Garrett.

My 11 year old has taken lessons from Garrett for the past two years both remotely and in person. Garrett is always on time, never calls off, and most importantly brings a fun loving, strong knowledge base to his teaching. He meets the kids where they are but also challenges them to perfect their craft all while learning about different genres of rock and historical facts about the rock giants. I would say he has taught my kiddo not only some amazing guitar skills but has also shown him how to be professional, to read a room, to know when to listen, to change and perfect the notes, the theory behind it all, and how to get from point A to B. He has become a mentor of sorts with our child and we feel really honored to have him as a constant source for our kid.
