FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$125 per 50-minute session (for individuals, couples, children or families) $175 per 75-minute session (for couples) $200 per 90-minute session (for couples)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First a client will call or email me. I usually get back to client calls and emails within 24-48 hours. We'll then set up an initial free phone consultation and we'll speak for about 15 minutes over the phone about what the client's needs are. I'll then determine if I can help that person and ask if they'd like to schedule a session.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Professional Designation: I’m currently working as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#77612) and am employed and supervised by Chris Tickner, MFT (#42576.) Education: I completed my graduate training at Sofia University, where I was immersed in a learning environment fostering self-growth in ones professional and personal life. Upon completion of my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, I was equipped with the knowledge and skills to begin making changes in the lives of others. Behavioral therapy: Helping children on the autism spectrum learn life skills, improve social aptitude and decrease self-injurious behaviors was a vastly rewarding experience. Trained in Applied Behavior Analysis and Discrete Trial Training, I was able to assist children and their families effectively manage challenging behaviors to increase the childs success in school and improve family harmony. Group facilitation: I furthered my pursuit of helping others through my work at an inpatient treatment center for individuals recovering from substance addiction. My individual and group work was geared toward assisting clients in leading sober and meaningful lives. I particularly enjoyed facilitating creative expression groups and witnessing the tremendous power of creativity in the healing process. Trauma counseling: I mastered the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy modality to support children and their families through the process of healing from traumatic experiences. An aspect of this work that I found particularly rewarding was teaching my clients and their families relaxation techniques to prepare them for discussing their traumas in a safe environment. Private practice: I have since transitioned to working in a private practice setting — under supervision — and enjoy my work immensely. In my spare time, I like to hike, practice yoga, meditate, read and spend time with family and close friends.
