Personal Training

I've been training with Hugo for about two months now and he's awesome! I've definitely gotten stronger since I first started training with him and I've learned a lot about working out since I've never been to a gym on my own. Overall, Hugo is very nice and never fails to motivate me throughout the whole workout! He'll also provide a meal plan for you which is great if you're unsure about what you should be eating when you start working out. I 100% recommend Hugo if you are looking for a personal trainer, he won't disappoint!

First and foremost, I was very impressed by Hugo’s professionalism and care for his clients. He regularly would check in to make sure I was eating properly and meeting my cardiovascular targets. I was also struck by his knowledgeability and emphasis on proper technique, and his willingness to make every session challenging and rewarding. I decided to work with Hugo to increase my lean muscle mass. In the few months I have worked with Hugo, I have not only noticed an increase in my muscle, but I also feel more energized than before. I highly recommend Hugo as a personal trainer.

I had no idea what to expect when I started looking for a personal trainer. I just knew I had to do something more than join a gym, and never go. Taking the free assessment session with Hugo was one of the best things I have done. You can definitely tell that he knows what he is doing. He is always well organized, hardworking, and dedicated to you, and your training. He's extremely patient with you, and always encourages you too. You are also provided with a meal plan that is easy to follow, and instructions for cardio training as well. In the past year that I have trained with him, I have lost over 30 lbs, and 4 inches off my waist. Not to mention I feel much better, and am stronger physically. I couldn't have done it on my own, and I don't mind paying for the help to get there. Hugo always works with your schedule, and is pretty accommodating. He truly cares, and wants you to succeed. You definitely get what you pay for, and it's worth it. If I didn't relocate up North, I would still be training with him today. If you want the best, train with Hugo!

I was randomly searching for personal trainer on Thumbtack few months ago and got a list of 5 trainers contacting me. Hugo was very genuine. He took his time explaining how he trains and he offered me a free introductory class to try. This was my first time working with a personal training so I honestly didn't know if I was going to like the training session. Hugo was very knowledgeable and patient. He didn't give me any pressure of committing to a package. I have been training with Hugo for about 2 months now. He is a truly excellent trainer. He is the perfect combination of tough(always challenge my strength) and warm (caring and with great sense of humor!). Every training section he always set a challenging yet achievable goal for me. I am stronger and more flexible, I have better balance and most importantly, working out has become fun. I have never felt stronger or healthier. I recommend HUGO without reservation.

I really enjoyed my sessions with Hugo– he’s calm, knowledgeable, and listens to what your goals are and what you want out of a personal training experience. Hugo is focused on helping me achieve my goals and designs every session to be challenging (& somehow fun). Since meeting Hugo, it’s the first time I’ve ever looking forward to training in a gym. Time passes quickly and the sessions varies. He also provides a rounded service, focusing on nutrition as well as exercise so that I achieve my goals quicker. I’m definitely seeing a difference and getting more toned which is exactly what I wanted.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    When I meet a new client, I assess their physical statistics by discovering body fat percentage and body weight. Then, we perform a physical evaluation to explore into the client's physical strength, endurance, flexibility, and mobility. With these factors in hand, I can successfully build a workout/nutrition program and give the client an understanding of what it will take to reach their desired physical goal.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the International Sports Science Association (ISSA), National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF), and American Council on Exercise (ACE). I have helped countless clients meet their physical goals in weight loss, strength building, muscle building, reduction of body fat, physical therapy, and more. I have successfully serviced over 10,000 personal training sessions.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I became an independent personal fitness trainer to help my clients without limitations. When you're a personal fitness trainer at a big-name corporate gym, you're held to certain limitations of the services you can provide for your clients. Being an independent trainer gives me the allows me to utilize all the necessary tools to achieve my client’s physical goals.
