We had 2 bathrooms at our office that needed hardware installed though tile, also a couple odds-and-ends tasks. He went above and beyond. Of course we had to pay a little extra for the extra time he spent at our office but the place looks great because of him!

I hired David Gomes for installing two toilet fixtures. In addition to installing the fixtures, I had him do tile grouting in the shower and outdoor motion sensing solar light fixtures. He has affable manners and good at what he does. He is very prompt, flexible, and reasonable. I will hire him again without reservations.

We were referred to Kepper by our designer. He came out to do an estimate for installing a kitchen floor and backsplash. He spent an hour with us answering lots of questions and helping us through layout ideas. His bid came in a bit higher but we felt very comfortable that Kepper would keep an eye on every detail. Our tile and backsplash were installed last week and we decided to stay out of the house until done. The workmanship was spot on. They were able to do a great job in spite of the sub-floor which wasn't very level and not very square. We have lived with the tile for 2 days and cannot find any imperfections. The back splash is very large glass tiles and also are flawless. After he finished first project we ask him build additional room for us.It was involve foundation, framing electrical and plumbing. He and his crew was very professional and hard workers. My wife and i very happy!!! That all.

I hired Gusanito to install porcelain tiles in my bathroom. He was very prompt--being the first contractor to contact me on thumbtack--and quickly responded to my text messages whenever I had a question. He takes his time and is very detailed in his work. He is also willing to help you with other problems. For example, in addition to installing the tiles, I also wanted to change my sink faucet and shower handles. He agreed to do the extra work at a reasonable price. The tile installation went smoothly, however, we ran into plumbing issues which he couldn't solve. I'm giving him four stars because I hired him on thumbtack for tile installation services, not plumbing. Nonetheless, he agreed to bring his cousin (who is an experienced plumber) over the next day to change my sink faucet at no extra cost. The total work took about two full days to complete, but I'm sure it would have been less if we didn't run into the plumbing issues. So I recommend him but make sure you talk with him thoroughly about what you want to accomplish.

Barry has been excellent and skill set is diverse. He has experience with plumbing and bath, tile, flooring, finish carpentry, pavers, light electrical, water filtration system. He also painted our house. He cleaned up an awful mess our contractor left us and did it with a smile and w/o judgement. Overall the quality of his work is excellent and he will always offer options on price but typically suggests the cheapest route. Bravo Barry !!!

Vyron and his team were great. They remodeled a small guest house for us - flooring, ceiling, painting, plumbing, windows, cabinetry. It was a 3 day job. They always showed up on time, worked extremely hard, were professional and pleasant. Vyron is very focused on doing a quality job. He clearly has a lot of experience doing all types of remodeling projects, and offered several valuable suggestions. I would definitely use again.

I hired Bay Wide Hauling to clear out a retail space, which included removing an old linoleum tile floor, a half wall, and a large awning, as well as hauling away old carpet and debris. They showed up on time, did a great job, as well as they were friendly and polite. I believe the cost for the scope of work performed was very fair. Without a doubt, I will hire them again!

I hired ARCC to paint my ceilings and walls after popcorn ceilings were removed by an asbestos abatement company. It was a logical choice since they were also general contractors. They were very professional with great communication and updates and they finished the job in a timely manner. They also guarantee the work, so when I spotted a minor discoloration days after the work was done, they came back within a few days to do minor touch up. I'm very happy with their service and would use them again for a future job/recommend to friends.

We went from framed to frameless shower enclosure and when the old glass was removed, we quickly realized we needed to make tile repair prior to installing the new glass. We decided to have a different company make the repair. Owner, Michael Compton of Compton Construction quickly responded to my Thumbtack post, set up an estimate appointment and provided me with an estimate the same day. A repair appointment was set up immediately and all was repaired, cleaned up and perfect in just one visit. This was a smooth and fast repair. Michael is great to do business with. He's easy going and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend Michael Compton Construction and will certainly use them again. Five gold stars!!! So happy to find Compton on Thumbtack. (I'd like to add that I received several/max quotes and decided on Compton Construction). -Happy home owner

I cannot explain how grateful I am to have met Economy Home repair through this app. They were fast, friendly, and the service was impeccable. I had recently been working to restore a 1912 Craftsman style bungalow in Oakland, and then accepted a job in another state. Bad planning for me, but luckily I had Thumbtack and Economy Home Repair there for me. They we're first contracted to remove the aluminum siding that was wrapped around the house, then, we needed them to fix or replace any damaged shingles from the original siding, and then lay a coat of paint over it all! They got that done in a couple weeks!! Later on, I needed their help to finish up some tile work, and to put up some Sheetrock in the 2nd floor. They got that done with no hesitation. Again, I cannot be more grateful for that team. They deserve 100 stars.

We hired Ramin to renovate a master bathroom and master bedroom. The scope of work included demolition, retrofitting proper plumbing for shower, repairing floor boards, retrofitting electrical for new heater/fan/light fixture, shower and floor tile work, resurfacing walls and ceiling, painting walls ceiling and trim, installing all lighting and plumbing fixtures, etc.... He has a small crew of guys who are hard working, respectful and cheerful. I have hired a lot of contractors over the years, and I have never come across anyone like Ramin. He is a perfectionist, in a good way. He makes sure everything is done right and beautifully. He's also super nice, easy to communicate with, and an all around good guy. His estimate was not the least nor the most expensive. We chose him because we had a good feeling about him, and we were right! We've already added small projects to his list around the rest of the property. We will hire him again for our remodeling projects without hesitation.

New window, laminate flooring, installation as well as some drywall finishing and painting done really well with tight budget. I was really happy with the outcome and the professionalism of the handyman Evan who not only did what I asked but ventured to recommend what I didn't know should be done -- I was really pleased with the result. Thank you!

The work that Karl performed for me was extensive since I have a 5000sq. ft. home. I will describe each area of the job. Plumbing: Replaced all fixtures in 3 bathrooms including underneath all sinks hot and cold water valves. Cleaned out all drains in sinks and showers. Cleaned out main drain to house ensuring no back up within entire house. Electrical: Installed Gfi plugs wherever necessary. Installed carbon monoxide/fire sensors throughout house, including garage. Removed old light fixtures and installed recessed lights in bathroom ceiling. Installed new light fixture in entrance of home. Removed old lights around perimeter of house and installed outdoor security lights. Removed old appliances in kitchen; installed new oven, gas stove top, new washer and electrical dryer. Master bedroom fixed recessed lighting that was not working, also installed magnification mirror at makeup area. Replaced garage door opener that was not working and made sure that all remotes were programmed and working, five in total. Tile Work: Finished tile work in home that was started by another contractor and left unfinished. Was very concerned that work would not match up but Karl completed job beautifully! And Karl was very, very conscientious in making sure there was no grout debris left on tile, unlike previous work that was done. Karl cleaned previous workers tiles and sealed tile whereas other contractor left undone. Went throughout house and fixed any missing grout from tile work done in previous years, with good match up. In one bathroom I didn't want the old tile removed but it was very dirty. He cleaned up tile to look new. Cleaned up all tile in bathroom shower stalls. Replaced grout on veranda outside kitchen. Paint: Karl's paint work was clean and concise. If I wasn't happy with any of his work, he would go back and do as asked with a very positive attitude because he wanted me to be happy. It was all about what I wanted, not what he wanted. Always with a smile and concern for my feelings. Stucco and Grout Outside Home: Steps and railing leading to front door were badly damaged due to earth settlement. Filled all cracks and secured railing. Filled all hairline cracks wherever necessary on outside of home and repainted. General Construction: Changed out all hardware on all doors throughout house. Built me 3 closets, one in former office which I turned into a bedroom. In family room I had 2 closets, one he redid into a space for an office installing electrical and bringing in lines for Internet connection. He then took an office desk for the computer that I had in office, cut it down to fit within closet therefore creating an office within closet whereby I could close doors when finished working. Installed all computer equipment, wifi, printers, etc. The other closet he built shelves and coat rack, all from scratch. Cleaned all my kitchen cabinets and put a clear coat on for shine. Cleaned and polished all laminate countertops in kitchen for shine to bring back luster. Installed water filtration system in kitchen. Hung new rods for curtains in bedrooms. Cleaned all vents and replaced air filters in whole house. Inventoried all keys to all doors and had copies made and labeled for all doors throughout home. Installed security locks to pool room and sliding glass doors leading to balcony off kitchen for child-proofing. General, General: Karl is a jack of all trades and can do ANYTHING. He also does computer work, can solve or come up with any solution that you may have a problem with. He thinks outside the box. If you know how to ask and communicate, be clear and concise with what you want done, be honest in your request for a job done, Karl is YOUR MAN. He is EXTREMELY FAIR, has a CONSCIENCE! and wants to please. Your responsibility is to be those things in kind. Karl is a huge find. I kept him working for about a year because there were so many things to be done. I actually and honestly was sad that the project ended. Karl is now my go to because I turned my house into a rental. He is on call for any and all projects because I know that he is reliable and trustworthy.

I chose Peralta Painting to paint my kitchen cabinets. I wanted conversion varnish and they were able to provide that service. I had received estimates from several contractors and Marvin gave me the best bid but, what really made the difference for me was that they were able to do more than just paint. I wanted to move one of my cabinets from ceiling to wall-mount and the other painting contractors were not interested in taking that on. The cabinets looked so good when they were done that then I realized I needed to re-tile the floor. Then the kitchen looked so good that I realized I needed to remove the wall-paper in the next room and repaint. Then of course the hardwood in that room needed to be re-finished, etc... You get the idea, one thing led to another and Peralta Painting was able to do it all. Everyone who worked on the project was conscientious and paid great attention to detail. They performed high quality work that was within my budget. I am very happy with all the work they performed and would recommend Peralta Painting and Remodeling for all your remodeling needs. Mike
