Sergey arrived as promised and handily measured for and hung or re-hung as needed 19 prints, many double height along a long hallway. He was diligent in measuring and inquiring about how we'd like them positioned, as well offering helpful ideas and recommendations when asked. He also made sure he laid out which prints we wanted where before hanging. He did all of this in relatively short time, maybe an hour, hour and a half (don't quite recall). He was also patient with a short delay in our final approval and payment as we had another contractor on site who needed our attention. Thanks Sergey!
I feel that we owe Kevin a review, not only a good review, but a GREAT review. We called him initially to help with our leaking sink, and later decided to ask him to fix all plumbing problems of our house since we were planning to rent it out. Kevin came twice, not only fixed our leaking sink, but also helped us cleaning black molds (Felt really sorry to have him doing that), re-installing our disposal and sewer pipes, and giving out suggestions how we could fix the garage faucet ourselves. He is prompt, always on time, and very experienced. Most importantly, he REALLY cares about helping you out. Just after his second visit to fix the kitchen faucet, we found our under the sink filtration system leaking and I left him a message. In the following days he called us three times to discuss about possible ways we can try out to fix that, and at the end he offered himself to come and take a look -for FREE! So he came the 3rd time, re-connected our filtration system, waited for half an hour to make sure it was fix, and in the mean time giving my husband general education of plumbing. Wow! Will definitely recommend.
Arisel handled a small hardwood repair job in our kitchen. First I'm grateful that he offered his services. Many contractors only bid big jobs. Second he followed on his commitments to me, being on time and following up the next day with a touch up. I did not have to follow up. He was good to work with. Third I think he did an excellent job with the conditions he had to deal with. I recommend him.
He bid $125 to clear the drain of a light well. Came within the half hour arranged arrival window. Swept clean the roof area. Found after the water initially drained that water backed up again. Determined that there was another clog underground near the sewer connection. Since there was no cleanout at the ground level and drain pipes were corroded (I had patched holes with plumbers putty and duct tape) He replaced the pipes for another $250 plus parts. This involved cutting away some cross beams to pull the pips out. Only minor complaint I noticed the next day that was that he didn't close tight the faucet to get water for testing the drain so there was a slow drip.
We had our sewer pipe replace and the driveway repaved. Ronnie was a pleasure to work with from start to finish, helping us find a paving contractor to complete the project.
I am very happy with how the project turned out, Michael was on time and on budget. I love the fact that from start to finish he made sure of minor details everything turned out perfect. After he was done he also took the time to clean the site. Matter in fact he even took the boxes out which the product arrived in which was amazing ! I would definitely hire him again for any future projects and highly recommend him. It is hard to find a contractor which can do quality work on time and on budget. Thank you !!!!
I contracted Ray about my clogged sewer problem. My toiletes kept backing up. He responded quickly, assessed my plumbing needs and generated a fair market value estimate. Turns out I had tree roots blocking my sewer line. After I did a pricing research for this type of work, I decided to use his service and I am happy to say that my toilets are working again. Thanks Ray!
Erik did a great job snaking an outside sewer line that was tricky to access. What we thought would be a30 minute job ended up taking close to 3 hours of sleuthing and trial/error until he figured it out. Most folks would have given up, frustrated but Erik stuck it out. Really impressive commitment. Came on time, cleaned up, highly-recommended.
Matthew Kelly is hardworking and honest. He strives to make the job go as well as possible. After other contractors said no or did not return my calls, he responded quickly on the weekend, and he completed the job in a timely manner. Matthew's operation is lean and responsive. He is pleasant to work with and has my recommendation.
Max was always on time, professional staff, followed up and responsive. Also want to say how great thumbtack was as a service to get bids and contractors
I've literally communicated with or contacted at least five contractors over the past two months to complete this flooring job. Salinas was an answer to prayer! Whereas other sites or contractors told me to wait and/or never got back to me or took others jobs, Vyron responded promptly within an hour when I posted the job on Thumbtack. Vyron and Pablo did excellent work putting down a new subfloor and plywood, then installing an LVP (see photos) and a new toilet (not pictured). Vyron communicated about every step of repair and installation and about every purchase for the job. He takes pride in his work and left the work area clean. I'm so glad that the job is finished and that it was done well.
Gleo is an excellent contractor. Our water heater installation ran into some complications and he fixed all of them. Couldn't have had a better experience, high recommended!
Gussnito renovstion did an ok job, he got in over his head a bit but made things right and hired other people to help with the right expertise. In the end he did right although cost were a little higher. He’s an honest guy trying to do the right thing.
Routine water heater swap - yeah right. What started out as thinking our water heater was broken, turned out to be a long overdue clogged sewer lateral. Worst case scenario. While I'm not that happy about the sewage overflow situation which could have been better mitigated (and we still need to beach the hell out of that room), the solutions and options offered by Ali were professional and spoke of his experience. To unclog the piping, snaking was attempted but failed, hydrojetting was attempted but failed (with a mess of sewage). Finally we got a camera down there to find a wall of something about 50 feet down from the mechanical room to a spot under the sidewalk. Digging 4 feet down, to find actually a pretty good condition clay lateral. Ali's man Valentino (a skilled gentleman), cut the clay and replaced it with a riser in order to install a cleanout for future maintenance. Once done, they hydrojetted for another hour to clear 7-8 months worth of waste. The camera was once again sent through to find that a portion of the clay lateral had shifted and created uneven surfaces including some penetration of tree roots. While most plumbers would probably recommending an immediate replacement, Ali recommended that since it wasn't fully collapsed, we should simply clear out the lateral as routine maintenance rather than spend all the money to replace the pipe. I appreciate his direct communication, no sales pitch, and brief coaching through the process. While I do have 10 yrs of construction experience, and his price was not the cheapest, he certainly delivered on time and without any sense of price gouging.
Was extremely communicative, arrived on time, was respectful and knowledgeable, went above and beyond to explain what he was seeing and thinking in great detail. It felt more like an education from an expert friend rather than a consultation from a contractor. We will definitely be working with Mr. Rooter going forward!
Gerardo was exceptionally communicative and easy to work with on top of doing high-quality work on time and on budget. What else can one ask for in a contractor?? He responded to email and text within minutes and showed up on time on a Sunday of Memorial day weekend. He installed our new kitchen island sink, including an additional drain that he had not been aware of before arrival. Rather than make it more complicated, Gerardo went quickly to the nearest hardware store, figured out the parts needed, and got the job done quickly. He worked cleanly, was very conscientious of our furniture, floors, personal items etc, and did it all with a smile and good attitude. After completing the work, Gerardo took the time to test and re-test every aspect of his work, and even correct some minor mistakes made by our previous plumber. I would not hesitate to recommend Gerardo, and will definitely hire him again in the future!
We did some drainwork on the outside sewer main. Our experience was great. The job was well understood, well scoped and perfectly carried out. We secured a new patch on the drain opening and could not be happier. I was impressed about the solution to make the cover vandalism resistant by installing a hexbolt. Thank you!
The best general contractor / handy man we've worked with on Thumbtack. 100% Pro!
nice job; reasonable cost; recommend this contractor.
I had a sewer backup in my bathroom, the toilet was overflowing and when I flushed toliet sewer over flooded the tub. Cory asked me to stop using water. He pulled to the toliet and snaked line. Not only did he fix problem he also cleaned bathroom after the job was done. Very impressed with Mr king's work..
Dynamic, good communication and teamwork between contractor and customer. Benny offered several ideas which gave the project added value, saved time and some dollars.
