Linda is an extremely talented vocal coach! She is wonderful at articulating singing techniques in a way that resonate with me. Absolutely amazing experience working with Linda! I had set a goal song that I’ve always wanted to be able to sing, and in just the first session she was able to identify what was holding me back vocally and helped me work past those hurdles. Not only did we work on actual vocals but she made sure that I understood how and why we are using different muscles to produce sound, and that physical awareness I believe was a huge contributing factor to me actually making some good progress with my goals! What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At the first lesson, I will ask you to tell me a little bit about your own goals and musical interests. From there I will select the best quality materials for you and you will know what to expect from every lesson, as well as what to practice during the week.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm an experienced stage performer in both voice and piano with a bachelor's degree in music education and a master's in education. I've been performing with a local band for the last 10 years!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that you hire a music teacher who has a college music degree, who can explain techniques in many effective ways. Hire a music teacher who is warm and makes you feel at ease!
