Chris Nowell is that rare contractor— he costs out his jobs fairly, arrives on time, finishes the job when he says he will, and works hard. Incredibly tough to find all of that in one package. Work with enough shoddy contractors and it’s plain to see that Chris’s excellence stands out.
Although his business is listed in the handyman category, Chris’s skills go far beyond that. He’s a licensed electrician, a licensed plumber, and a general contractor. In fact, there aren’t many jobs he can’t do. Chris pays meticulous attention to detail and is experienced enough to address any unforeseen repair that might crop up in a given job. The fact that he has been in business for nearly 15 years attests to that.
Beyond Chris’s diverse skill set, he is straight-up honest— and honorable. Unlike many contractors in the area, he actually has good manners, will respect you and your property, and is true to his word.
No sense in working your way through a half-dozen reviews and dialing around for estimates. Why would you when you could hire The Patriot Handyman? In my four decades as a homeowner and landlord I’ve seen more mediocre handymen than I can count. But Chirs Nowell is aces. You’d be a fool not to hire him.

Chris was very responsive and helped me to understand the problem I was happening. He addressed my issue and any other issues I had with my home. Chris was very professional. He replied right away. The day before he messaged to confirm the appointment. When he arrived he asked what issues I was having with the outlets and circuit breaker. He did his diagnostic and showed me that the breaker switched was burned out. He gave me the quote for the work and I went through with it. He ensured all the outlets that weren’t working worked again. Replaced the burned out switch on the breaker. I definitely recommend Chris/The Patriot Handyman to anyone with electrical needs and then some. Any future electrical or handyman work I need done he’ll be one of the first I contact for the job.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In home estimates are free. I like to talk through the project and make sure we both understand what you want done.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked for a hospital for over 15 years as lead engineer. Learned most of my skills on the job and before hand helping family with home repairs.
