- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At My Serenity Mental Wellness (MSMW), we want our client's to feel comfortable and that they will begin a transformative experience. For this reason MSMW offers a free-brief consultation so that the client is able to ask questions and decide if this is a good match. MSMW individualizes sessions for clients and to the client's specific needs and benefit. Clients are required to complete a general Informed Consent prior to the intake session. At the initial session, clients are provided the space to voice their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. A good history of the problem is helpful for the therapist to know where to meet the client at emotionally for support. The therapist also shares background information and discusses confidentiality among other important therapeutic information. Typically, a treatment plan is covered on the second session where objectives are discussed and collaboratively created as a road map for both the client and therapist to know what the end goal in treatment would be.
