FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When searching for a therapist, call a few people and talk to them for a bit before coming in for a session. You can tell a lot about the therapist you contacted before even meeting with them. Did they return your call within 24 hours? Did you feel comfortable talking with them over the phone? Also look at their qualifications. Are they licensed? What is their educational background? Many people market themselves as therapists or life coaches but aren't qualified. Look for the following credentials (LCSW/LMFT/Psy. D/Ph.D) and see where they went to school. If you trust their qualifications and you connect with them, you are well on your way to finding the right provider for you.
