    While we may not be his typical clients, Nick has been able to work with us to achieve our fitness goals. We have trained with Nick for several Spartan Races over the last year and each time we have done better than the last. We went from placing bottom 80% of our M20-25 age group to in the top 20% in six months. His training methods are effective at building muscle, dropping fat, and, most importantly for myself, preventing injury. His scheduling has been flexible and he has been able to meet us at at times and locations that are convenient to us. All in all, we've enjoyed getting #swoll with Nick.

    I started strength training with Nick at our home twice a week when I was 4 months pregnant with my second child. Thanks to his guidance and support, my body was stronger and this pregnancy was easier on me physically, despite having to chase around my 2-year-old all day. Labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery also were easier. I was able to jump right back into our workouts about 5 weeks after our son was born, due entirely to Stella's outstanding on-site childcare.

    I have really enjoyed training with Nick in my home. And thanks to Stella's excellent care for my children, I can concentrate on my workouts and really make each session count! Over the years I have worked with trainers at various gyms on the peninsula (Equinox, Gold's and Crunch) and I have felt most comfortable with Nick. Every session is tough but do-able because he's tailored it perfectly to my abilities. Nick's everything you need in a trainer (knowledgable, effective, firm, focused) while remaining patient and kind. His support really encouraged me during our sessions and motivated me to work hard on days that I exercised on my own. I am so pleased with my experience with Palladino Play and Train and recommend them wholeheartedly!

    Nick is a super talented trainer who can motivate you and knows just how much to push.He's smart and very knowledgeable about kinesiology, and aware of age appropriate workouts. He is always on time and very reliable.He's patient and encouraging and has a good sense of humor to boot! I recommend him unequivocally!

    Nick is a trainer and Stella is a nanny so their combo business of Palladino Play and Train is genius. I met with Nick and Stella on Oct 23, 2012 to get my original assessment. We started the training sessions the next week. Nick is excellent at creating custom workouts for me to help me meet my fitness goal and Stella is amazing with my 4 month old and my 2 1/2 year old. In just a short 2-3 months, I have lost over 10 lbs and am only 5 away from my goal weight! Not only are they great at what they do, they are also incredibly nice people and are a pleasure to work with. I'm so happy I've made an investment in my health and chose Nick and Stella to help me get there.

    I love, love, love this guy. I have been in the health care field for over 20 years and I know there is no quick, easy method for losing weight and keeping it off. Nick teaches excellent, healthy nutrition habits that really work. His work outs are hard, but he starts slowly and builds them so that you don't get hurt. Important for me because I tend to over-do things and hurt myself. In 11 months, I not only lost weight, but body fat. I went from a 28% body fat to 20%. I lost my "muffin top" and gained a wash board stomach! I'm 48 years old and haven't had a stomach like this since high school. I feel amazing. Although I'm no longer working out with Nick, for financial reasons, I am continuing to do his work outs and eating healthy. I can't wait for my yearly physical with my doctor to find how good my cholesterol levels are! Additionally about Nick, while he is extremely knowledgeable, he continuously seeks to advance his knowledge. He listens very closely to his clients and pays attention to the smallest details. And he's hilarious!

    I started training with Nick in May. The process has been energizing and fun. Nick is able to blend a tough workout with some teaching and enough variety to keep things interesting. I'm almost exactly on track to meet the year end goals we set out on the first day. As a side note, he's also trained my wife while she was pregnant and was able to vary routines and exercise to have her get a benefit without overdoing it. Finally, for us, at least, the babysitting has been a real help in making this possible in terms of finding a viable time slot. Stella has been our baby sitter for a few years and we never worry our daughter is getting anything but great care and fun.

    I love how Nick has created a fitness program just for me with my needs and goals in mind. He is always positive and very attentive during the workout to help me use the correct form to make each exercise effective and to prevent injury. He doesn't give me more than I can handle but he also knows how to challenge me to go to the next level. In the past I have worked out in all different ways, from exercise videos on my own, to fitness classes, and gym membership. This is the first time I have had my own personal trainer and I have to say that it's the most effective workout method of all! I have only been training for one month and I've learned so much and can already notice an improvement in my strength, endurance, and energy level. I think Nick is terrific. He and Stella are a great team!

10 personal training sessions (60 minutes in length): $1000 ($100/session) 20 personal training sessions (60 minutes in length): $1800 ($90/session) 10 partner training sessions (60 minutes in length): $1150 ($115/session) 20 partner training sessions (60 minutes in length): $2100 ($105/session)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My certification is with the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF). I am required to continue my education on the latest developments in my field in order to keep my certification. Besides what I am required to do for my certification, I also love to read books on fitness.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We specialize in working with people who have busy schedules and prefer to have their trainer come to them. Our clients have a variety of different goals but some common ones are: weight loss, toning up, stress management, increase muscular strength, increase endurance, improve running capabilities.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find someone who is certified. Also, make sure they are someone you trust and get along with. This is the person you will be meeting with very frequently and relying on to get you to your goals safely. You want that person to be knowledgeable and easy to get along with.
