Introduction: I have a niche in nonprofit communications and graphic design for organizations doing work to benefit the social good. I understand the need to speak to diverse audiences and how graphic design products need to serve different purposes. How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've done calligraphy since I was a teenager where I became very interested in the principles of typography. I became obsessed with photography in college. I was always in love with book arts and publications. All those passions came together when I decided to go into graphic design which marries all of those interests into one great package of visual storytelling.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Print design: Stationery (letterhead, business cards, envelopes) Invitations - wedding, events Publications - annual reports, magazines, technical reports, newsletters Enewsletters
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be as specific as you can in the specifications for the job so your designer can provide you with the best possible quote. This will prevent misunderstandings down the road on price and deliverables.
