Fence and Gate Installation
Gave me a quote for $8300+ for a fence with 8 posts. LOL $1000 per post. Didnt even include materials because I already bought that!May 4, 2020VerifiedBWD Gardens Inc.'s reply
Thank you for the review Rose. If there was any misunderstanding about the scope of work quoted, we'd be happy to walk you through it in more detail. I believe there was also x2 gates, the installation of monkey bars, climbing wall, and additional materials that needed to be considered for installation or your fence and sliding gate. We'd be willing to reduce the scope to only finishing your fence if you would like to request a revised quote. The quote would indeed be much less if finishing the fence was the only work discussed.
Brian Whyte of BWD is a creative, skilled professional who studied garden design in London. BWD transplanted plants, cleaned up the space, composted and mulched the entire garden, installed a flagstone patio and a drip irrigation system in three days. Brian transformed my scruffy backyard into an inviting outdoor living space. Brian is sensitive to a clients wishes and budget and he loves flowers! He communicates well with both clients and his hard working crew who were on time and cleaned up everything after they finished the garden work. I highly recommend Brian and BWD.Aug 20, 2015
Brian is very professional and timely. He works hard to help problem solve and brings his wonderful design talent to his quality installation execution. We look forward to working with him on future projects.Aug 20, 2015
We hired BWD Gardens to get our garden back in shape after a hard winter and to maintain the garden monthly going forward. We have had two visits by the BWD team & both have met our expectations which are fairly high. Their team has pulled weeds, trimmed hedges & trees, replaced several plants & mulched. BWD also came up with several plant suggestions that make the garden more interesting. I really enjoyed the inclusiveness of the design process. Their team is professional and prompt.Apr 24, 2016Verified
Brian Whyte is wonderful to work with and does great work. Both are important. After doing our garden maintenance for a number of years, we talked to him about a complete redo of our backyard. Brian had fabulous ideas, such as reshaping a slope and moving a walkway and stairs in ways we never would have thought of, but which made perfect sense the minute he mentioned them. Best of all, whether working on a big project or minor landscape issue, Brian always asks what we like, what we have in mind, the tone and function we want to achieve. He is not a designer who puts his own vision ahead of that of his client. Ditto for budget. He was sensitive to our concerns and true to his word on pricing, which always seemed fair and reasonable for the task at hand. His workers and contractors were terrific, too. Everyone was pleasant to have around and did great work. Finally, Brian makes communication easy; he's warm and approachable. We shared ideas and questions as the project evolved making it even better. After 40 years in the same house, our yard was transformed and we love it. Thank you, Brian!Aug 29, 2015
