About
I have an outgoing, friendly (grandmothery now) teaching style. Though my students have excelled in all 3 arts that I teach (voice, art, piano,) they still call me their friend. I, also, have had the advantage of owning my own music store, while also giving voice and piano, as well. I LOVE TEACHING! I love students--all ages. Each student is not just a "student" but a friend or even child/grandchild in my mind.

My 5 year old just started lessons last week. Mrs. Izzi has been really flexible in terms of scheduling and has been very kind and patient with my daughter. My daughter was very excited after the first lesson!

We actually start lessons this Thursday.... But the process of hiring a piano teacher has been wonderful! I have received immediate responses throughout my communication with Ms. Izzi. We are so excited to get started this week!!!!

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I began in music: piano and voice. I had a natural ability in voice, but needed an expert to bring out the techniques for me to excel as an individual. I began my career in art in a effort to "tap into the brains" of my students that I tutored. I thought I could never be an artist--until I learned to see with my right hemisphere. Since then, I added art to my teachings. I've taught from the kindergarten through college level students.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I discover their strengths and weaknesses, then make them comfortable with these. Only then can they progress---and that's my job.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find someone mature enough to have the ability to make you comfortable. The arts are about revealing yourself--putting yourself "out there" for everyone. You need to feel that you're "safe" with your instructor.
