FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I enjoy taking classes at the local community college. I am fortunate to have a college that provides an Applied Arts and Design program. Online classes are another resource that I use, as well as tutorials on new elements in the Adobe Suite Products. Its not education if its fun right?
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love art. I love drawing and painting. Providing people with graphic solutions is simply taking my artistic skills and using them in a different way. Some of my favorite things to do are illustrations, where I can actually be artistic, but I enjoy using my artistry in my logo, advertisement, and brochures as well. I like to keep things fun.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Pick Me! Ha, joking of course. The fact is you want to pick someone who fits. Just because a graphic designer has a great portfolio, and huge amounts of technical skills doesn't necessarily mean they are a good fit for you or your company. You are going to be working closely with this individual. You need to make sure you have a good feeling about him or her. They need to be someone you feel good about giving honest feed back. A good working relationship is key to a successful design solution.
