- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
#1: Make sure they are licensed, bonded & insured!! #2: Understand what is being done and ask to see pictures of the process. Ask questions, make sure that the layering of the materials is done properly. Ask about upgrades to a system and what the contractors opinions are. #3: check online references, a simple online search will warrant a lot of info. check with the CSLB to make sure their license is active. Check to make sure they have workers compensation insurance if they have employees! #4: make sure he has a ladder standoff on his extension ladder so that your roof and or gutters do not get damaged when he places the ladder. Any contractor who sets a ladder up against the gutter directly is LIKELY not a gutter professional. Someone who takes pride and cares about gutters will not risk denting your gutters in this fashion and will have the proper tools to protect your gutters.
