FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Transparent Estimates: My pricing is straightforward and transparent. After diagnosing the issue, I provide a clear written estimate before any repair work begins. There are no hidden fees or surprise charges — you’ll know exactly what to expect. Diagnostic Fee: I charge a reasonable diagnostic fee for coming out and inspecting the problem. Good news: if you decide to proceed with the repair, that diagnostic fee is applied toward the repair cost. This way, you’re not paying twice for the same issue. Competitive Rates: My rates are competitive for the Sacramento area, especially given the level of service. I might not be the very cheapest, but that’s because I use original OEM parts and take the time to do the job right. In the long run, a quality repair can save you money by lasting longer. Discounts: I appreciate loyal customers. I offer occasional discounts for repeat clients or when you have multiple appliances serviced at once. There are no gimmicks — just fair pricing and value for the quality work I deliver. No Hidden Extras: You won’t find any surprise “travel” or “service” fees tacked on last-minute. Everything, including parts, labor, and any applicable discounts, is clearly listed in your quote. My goal is that you feel the pricing is honest and worth the service you receive.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial Contact: First, I’ll discuss the issue with you by phone or message. I listen carefully as you describe the appliance problem, and I might ask a few questions (make/model, photos, what’s wrong, etc.) to understand the situation. Scheduling: We set up a convenient appointment, and I make it a point to arrive on time. Punctuality is important to me, so you won’t be left waiting. Diagnosis & Quote: At your home, I perform a thorough inspection of the appliance. I’ll explain in plain language what’s causing the issue and outline the solution. You’ll get a transparent quote upfront. No work begins without you understanding the costs and giving approval. Repair: Once you approve, I get to work repairing the appliance using quality OEM parts. I work efficiently and carefully — treating your home with respect and keeping the area tidy. If any surprises come up during the repair, I communicate them immediately. Wrap-Up: After fixing the problem, I test the appliance to make sure everything is working correctly. Then I walk you through what was done and answer any questions. I provide an official warranty on my work, so you have peace of mind. Even after I leave, I remain available for any follow-up concerns or advice.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a licensed appliance repair technician in California and I carry full insurance. My formal training includes a technical program in appliance repair, as well as hands-on apprenticeship under an experienced repair expert when I was starting out. Over the years I’ve also gained knowledge in related trades like electrical and light plumbing work to better serve my customers. I stay up-to-date with the latest appliance technologies and often attend manufacturer workshops or online training to keep my skills sharp. Education in this field is ongoing, and each new project is an opportunity to learn even more.
