Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Hopefully you will see a difference in the images that I create. I look to capture the real essence of people by watching for real expressions and the way that light interacts with my subjects. More than exposure and smiles, I want people to stop and stare at my work. That is what makes me different. :) Getting to be a part of a grand event like a wedding. Just think about it, where can you get a job where you get to go to a party every week?

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I realize that we are in an economy which means trying to stretch our budgets in the best way possible. However when it comes to the important pieces of your event i.e. wedding photography, please don't hire based upon price alone. Getting a great price in wedding photography generally spells disaster after it's over. A true professional will generally charge a fair price for the work that is about to be performed. Many things go into your images and most of them you don't even see. You want a true professional that won't embarrass you or your family during the wedding and will give you a collection of images that you will be proud to share with your family for generations. That should be worth the extra $$$ that an experienced photographer will provide. Save on the small things that will generally be gone the following day.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

That all photographers are not created equal. We all have different styles and more importantly, different levels of skills that translates into a successful event. Think of it this way, if your car suddenly develops a squeak. You see two different car mechanics in your neighborhood and you decide to choose one because of price, this mechanic knows that he is not going to make much money so he takes out an oil can squirts it onto the area that has the noise and the squeak goes away. The problem is that the issue is still there and at some point the squeak will return. The second mechanic on the other hand, charges more but takes the time to carefully diagnose the problem and takes all of the necessary steps to ensure that the problem was corrected properly; you ultimately get a better value for your investment by using the more experiences and caring mechanic. It is just like hiring a professional photographer for your wedding. Some people are shooting weddings to make extra money on the weekends. If they give you an unrealistic price for their services, you are most likely going to get the oil can treatment and a lifetime of regret. You only get one chance to get it right when it comes to your wedding photos. Hire a professional. You will never regret it.
