Personal Chef

Due to COVID closures, I booked Chef Jon to cook dinner at our home in honor of my wife's 50th birthday. Jon and his assistant (his son, Jonathan) arrived on time after a long drive, and did a wonderful job for us. Jon & Co. are a bright, hard working family business that I would recommend or hire again in an instant. One word of clarification: I originally set out to hire a private chef, which Jon is, and he put together a lovely, elegant meal for us in very short order. That said, I believe Jon's sweet spot is in the catering world as the menu was designed and prepared in keeping with those sorts of considerations, versus what you'd expect to find from a smaller outfit that does gourmet preparations at home. No complaints, mind you, just recommending that you keep in mind that Jon will adapt to you, and his strength appears to be quality food at scale, so make sure your expectations are fair and shared up front. Last word... Jon made salmon as it ranks in the top of wife's seafood favorites. That said, did you see the pics of his shrimp-n-grits?!? He wouldn't give up the recipe, so I guess we'll just have to hire him back for MY birthday (or get invited to one of Jon's gigs up in Sac)! Keep up the good work, Stuart family! (And remember us when you hit it big, young Jonathan, and you've got that record label pumping out hits!)

Great job by the chef to cook dinner on site. It was a great way to celebrate my birthday with friends while eating delicious food. He arrived early and made sure everything was in place.

Jon did a wonderful job preparing food for me and my gf on Valentine’s Day at my home. The food was absolutely amazing. I didn’t even give him a menu. Just gave him a vision of what I wanted and what she liked and he went to work and created a gorgeous meal. He made alot of greet suggestions as I talked him through what I was thinking of doing. Would definitely recommend him for any size party and would use his service again.

    we have a very open menu we make dreams happen and we are a master at creating menus for people if you have it in your head we can do it for you and if you don't we can come up with something for you everyone has to be special on their day and we are the ones to do it for you.
