- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do. Our base price starts at $14.99 per person for two meats, two sides, green salad, and rolls. Meats such as pork ribs and beef tri-tip or brisket have additional costs associated with them. On-site catering has some additional costs as well. The price also includes our amazing BBQ sauce, salad dressings, plastic-ware, paper plates, and napkins.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Pipin' Hot Smokers BBQ is a family owned business run by my wife and I. Our process begins and ends with making sure the customer gets exactly what they want in terms of food quality and service. We start the process by sitting down with the customer and figure out what their budget is and what food items they are requesting. Once that is established, we maintain communication in order to keep the customer at ease and worry free. The last thing a customer needs when coordinating an event is stress over the food, and we work to keep the event stress free.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My family has been cooking BBQ for generations. In 2013, my wife, brother Josh and myself entered into our first rib contest and we won People's Choice Champion over 30 other competitors. From that point forward, we knew we had what it takes to bring our delicious Kansas City style BBQ to the Sacramento area. We won two more awards in 2014, and we continue to serve competition quality BBQ to our growing customer base. In my continuing interest in learning all I can about BBQ, I have been mentored by some of the best BBQ pitmasters on the west coast.
