Do not shop for the most inexpensive Process Server, it is the most common mistake made in our industry. The term "you get what you pay for" has never been truer in the Process Serving field. The service of process is the most important aspect of your case, if it is not completed correctly and the Proof of Service completed correctly you could find yourself back to square one, not good. Also, in many cases, the cost of service is "Recoverable" meaning the judge will add it to any judgment you win.
