About
Private pay (meaning you pay as you go). I am an EMDR specialist. PTSD, anxiety, depression, interpersonal struggles, addiction, and expert witness/litigation-related work. I hold patients accountable, while holding space for the individual to process his/her emotions. I promote short-term treatment, so that the patient can be independent and living in the solution as soon as possible. I offer same-day appointments and flexible scheduling options. I am private pay, and do provide receipts for reimbursement, which you then submit directly to your insurance company. You can text/email me any time to set up an appointment (outside of business hours is fine).

I saw Lauren for potential PTSD and aniexty which stemmed from being struck by a vehicle while walking. I hadn't been to therapy before so wasnt sure what to expext. She made the whole process very easy and smooth. She is very easy to talk to and I felt very comfortable sharing my expierences with her. Her use of EMDR made the biggest difference for sure and I am now back to normal. Would highly reccomend her for any and all issues you may be facing.

When I first came to Lauren I was a tangled mess from an automobile accident. Now, I am learning to embrace that tangled mess and accept that with some hard work and controlled guidance I can learn to live with my PTSD. I can learn to handle my anxiety when it attacks and not let it control/ruin my life.Lauren has a unique approach to therapy and couldn't be easier to talk to about anything. She has a real skill in asking me proper leading questions that generally result in my own realizations of what I need to be better. I love every session and couldn't stress enough how much she has become a useful tool in my personal development.

Difference Maker. I have worked with Lauren for three months. She offers a safe and supportive environment to speak your truth. Lauren is able to provide structure and containment for the recalling of traumatic events so that an individual can navigate through truly focusing on the feelings and separating the facts. She asks detailed questions to get an in-depth assessment of where I was, where I am and where I want to go. Lauren is responsive and sincere in her approach to my own traumatic past. Her empathetic ear compliments her professional knowledge delivering a creative and cohesive treatment plan. I feel successful and am so grateful to work with her.

Lauren is amazing and she helped boost my confidence from the start. She worked really well with me in helping me steer my life on a happier path. I really appreciate everything she has done for me. The EMRD sessions really helped me realize that sometime the worst that can happen isn't really a bad thing or perhaps I'm over anxious about something I truly didn't need to be. My relationship with myself and others have truly thrived since starting therapy with Lauren!

I feel extremely fortunate to have found Lauren Lowe. I am currently amidst a year of tremendous loss due to substance abuse and cancer, as well as marital issues. She is positive, comforting, and empowering. Every time I leave my appointment I not only feel relieved to have let out my frustration, but I also leave with self discovered resolutions. Additionally,I was apprehensive to try EMDR but found it to be very soothing and strengthening. It's helped me better understand my triggers and trauma and, again, solve them with positivity and self-affirmation. If you are looking for an empowering force to help you through some of your thickest issues, I highly recommend her!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fee for service is $250/visit. Sessions last 50 minutes and are done through Zoom.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attained my Bachelor’s degree at Princeton University. I then studied at the American School for Professional Psychology, earning a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. During my graduate program, I did 2 year-long trainings (20 hours/week) while taking classes. I was trained in children and families. I worked with underprivileged populations in Richmond, CA and San Jose, CA. I then earned 3000 licensure hours, working as an intern at Uplift Family Services in Sacramento, CA. I took the licensure exam after completing my hours, passed, and opened up my private practice in 2017. I trained at the Parnell Institute to become an EMDR specialist, at the start of my new adventure as a licensed therapist (LMFT). I fell in love with EMDR and have embraced this approach to treatment since that time, and have counseled thousands of patients with this modality. I also do expert witness work.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I experienced my own therapy after graduating from Princeton in 2005. I had time to self-reflect and evaluate what it was that I wanted to do with my life. I learned tools for managing life stressors and emotions, which made my life significantly more manageable. Therapy had such a significant effect on me that I wanted to become a therapist, so that I could provide that to others.
