I have an AA in medical administration and have 15 years of medical administration experience. For the past 2 years, I have contracted medical professionals with government insurers but not limited to, Medicare, Medi-Cal, managed care plans and all third-party payers as in Blue Cross, Blue Shield, United Healthcare, California Health and Wellness, Humana, etc. I also credentialed medical professionals and verify all of their license information, credentials, malpractice insurance, and education and so on. The rest of my career has been doing a variety of positions that includes medical billing in workers' comp, med-legal bill reviews for IME's and record reviews, hospital facility billing, private and government run insurances, insurance follow-up procedures, denial management, appeals, abstracting, coding, collections, and transcription services. My knowledge is proficient in CPT coding, ICD-9 coding, medical terminology, and anatomy. I am located in Sacramento and I am willing to travel or telecommute over the internet.
