- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am able to keep up with new trends, techniques, and materials by reading trade publications. The internet in also indispensable.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Mostly by migration. I started in the construction industry building houses in Hawaii with my father. As my skills progressed I found that I had an aptitude for finer, more detailed work. This brought me to work as a finish carpenter, which led to cabinet building, which led furniture building, which led to antiques restoration and finish work etc.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
It is usually some type of repair work... have you ever noticed that something in your home is always broken or not working properly? If everything in your home is working properly, and nothing is broken....get ready It's coming!
