Sometimes the simplest fixes are the hardest to evaluate but Raphael started there. Looking back, with all the added electronics in appliances now, it makes sense to treat it like a computer. So like a computer, first turn it off, unplug power, then start up again. The touch screen that operated everything rebooted and was working again.
