I am experienced in teaching all-level/age students, including the ones with special needs. I'm truly passionate about engaging & motivating students to learn through cello lessons. My goal is to help you ultimately utilize music for your well-being. I received Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern California with minor in Music Education and Master of Music from Yale University in cello performance.

Dr. Cho is the best cello teacher. Aside from her excellent academic/professional qualification, she is genuinely passionate about teaching cello. She cares about student development and customizes her lesson to fit each student. Also, she is very flexible on scheduling to accomondate lesson schedules.

Anna is a great cello teacher. She is very flexible on scheduling week to week and focused on details. We take our time before moving to the next piece and continuously improve over time with focus on bowing technique, intonation and musicality. Anna gives out praise when it is deserved but holds students to a high level so kids need to show up prepared to get the most out of lessons.

Tom, our 13 year old son, was very lucky to learn cello with Dr. Cho while we were living in San Diego! He made a tremendous progress during this time, and playing the cello has become not only a hobby for him but a true passion. We’re forever grateful Anna for your hard work and dedication to Tom, for pushing him forward and teaching him so much!
