FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each client has unique goals and design needs. My pricing is competitive and specific to the final output of the design.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I work with the client from concept to final output. One of the most important steps is to analyze the goal of the design. I begin with a brainstorm meeting and I work one on one with the client to define the design goals, if needed "their competition", and their audience. This technique results in a clear definition of the mission and tone of the design. Once the "creative brief" and discovery step is complete I design the layouts and present them to the client. The client chooses their final design layout to completed and produced. I target the skills they are needing and work on on one to make sure they walk away with strong skills and confidence. With each lesson I teach a principle or skill with several examples and hands on instruction. I will assign homework and review their work each lesson showing ways to improve their assignment and take it to the next level.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters in interface design and instructional technology along with 20 years of teaching graphic design. I have also directed two design progams at two digital media schools in the Bay Area.
