Eric has over 20 years experience playing guitar, specializing in Classical, Baroque, Spanish Romantic, Flamenco, and Renaissance music. He Graduated from San Diego State University, with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance in 2018 and has studied with world renowned performers Angel Romero, David Russell, Fred Benedetti, Paul O'Dette, and Paul Galbraith. Along with teaching, Eric actively performs for Weddings, Private Parties, Retirement Homes and does solo concerts at Libraries and Community Colleges.

While I can’t speak to the work quality (hired Eric for our guests to enjoy while we did a photo shoot, and the feedback I received is that they were pleased to have his music liven up our outdoor venue), I can speak to his professionalism and responsiveness. I was impressed by his ability to adapt to our venue and appreciated his ability to use his creative freedom to add vibrance to our event. I look forward to coordinating a future event that will invite the opportunity to secure his services again!

Eric is a great guitarist as well as a lutenist. His main era of music is the baroque but his knowledge expands much more than that. He likes to ensure that the musical history of any piece goes with the performance. Meaning that you will learn the historical context necessary to play the piece(s) in the same manner as it was played in the period that it was composed. Eric is an amazing musician and historian. He definitely helps understand the instrument more along with perfecting a performance.

Eric is an exceptional instructor. He was the only person I found that played the alto guitar which I have just recently started playing. Trying to find someone who has Eric's level of expertise in classical guitar is really hard to come by, and I couldn't be happier with what he has taught me. He is incredibly patient, and an amazing musician!
