I hired this handyman for a simple drywall repair job, and the experience was extremely disappointing. Before hiring, I sent detailed project information and asked questions to ensure he was prepared. Unfortunately, he was not truthful about his ability to complete the job.
Communication was a major issue as he did not speak a word of English, making it incredibly difficult to convey instructions. Despite my efforts to buy extra materials for the job, he couldn't read the instructions and came ill-prepared.
The job involved fixing small holes in the drywall, each about the size of a quarter. Instead of addressing these minor repairs, he cut out a huge section of the wall. He did not know how to properly replace it with backer board or how to paint and texture it correctly. His attempt caused more damage than repair.
He lacked the proper tools and tried to customize the baseboard with a low-level hand saw, which resulted in cuts on his hands and blood everywhere, creating a total mess.
In the end, I have to hire someone else to fix both the original damage and the additional damage he caused. I strongly advise against hiring this handyman.
