FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is not so standard, as it really depends on what kind of a photo or video job it is. So many variables to consider, so we'll figure that out right away.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process with a new customer is to first find out if they have ever participated in photo or video production before. Clients are usually pretty surprised about how much time, effort, gear, energy, personnel and money is involved in a photo or video project when they encounter it their first time. I work with all customers to see what their vision is for their project and help them formulate it in a way that will fulfill that vision.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned a Bachelor's degree in Film and Video Production (SDSU), wherein I learned the concepts of photography, cinematography and film/video production through the lenses of 16mm motion picture cameras. Shooting film (expensive to most of us young film students) really taught a method of shooting that required getting the shot right as soon as possible (instead of taking many many digital images at no increase in price), and thus high attention to detail. In addition to schooling, I've had many years of in-the-field training on a wide variety of photo, film and video projects - which lend to a command of many different tools and techniques.
