After being ghosted twice by people on Facebook Marketplace, I gave Thumbtack a try. Worked like a charm. I know having a middleman costs the service provider a fee, but it was reassuring to know that the reviews were bona fide and that I had a recourse if something went wrong.
As far as Junk Hulk, they offered a reasonable price, they communicated effectively, and showed up on time. The two men who moved the furniture for us were very nice and well-mannered and would not let me lift a finger to help even when I tried. I really appreciated that given my age. I would definitely hire them again.

Great movers in and out very quick and were very mindful not to hit walls and did it within an hour of me contacting them. They’re the ones you need to call.

Super impressed. They showed up on time, moved a huge treadmill out of my apartment with ease, and were friendly the whole way through. Smooth, stress-free hauling experience.
