Rochelle at Decluttering on Demand showed up at the eleventh hour and completely changed the trajectory of my move. I have ADHD and was navigating an injury at the same time, and the prep work for movers had become genuinely overwhelming — the kind of overwhelmed where you can’t even see the next step. Rochelle stepped in and took over without taking away my agency. She made decisions with me, not for me, and that distinction mattered more than I expected it to.
What stood out most was how much care she brought to every part of it: care for my belongings, care about where things ended up (donations went to the community instead of the landfill), care for the environment, and care for me as a person who was tired and spent. She’s not just efficient, she’s rooting for you. If you’re drowning in a move, especially if executive function or physical limitations are part of the picture, Rochelle is the person who gets you to the other side.

Rochelle responded to my request right away and was such a delight to work with. I usually have too many items and since I downsided on my move I didn’t have as much space. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $60/hr. with a 3 hour minimum. I like to offer a few freebie storage solutions and always carry an assortment on hand. I’m happy to remove trash/recycling. I drive an SUV so load me up with donations. Even the ones you think nobody wants.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a phone consult to establish needs and expectations. Then schedule a minimum 3hr. session. Some jobs can be finished in 1-2 sessions. Plan for a whole house to take several visits.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Working in hospitality I consistently maintained a clean and efficiently organized work space.
