FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I recommend paying monthly. Not only does this secure your time slot every week, but it also forces you to be consistent. I require 24 hours notice before a cancellation so that you are not being charged as a "No Show." My schedule is very tight and if you can't make it to your lesson and fail to let me know, it's a missed opportunity for someone else to schedule a lesson. For 30 minutes, it's $35. For the first lesson I charge a registration fee of $5.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first month is typically just getting to know your personality and your level of proficiency. Every lesson is different for each individual. Some people are better at visual learning and some aurally. My goal is to foster both. I want you to be able to read music and learn your favorite song by ear.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Being a musician means you're a student of music forever. Which means I am still learning from seasoned veterans/professors as well as my peers. Doing this regularly allows me to share the knowledge I have accumulated over the 10 years I have been playing.
