FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Providing pool services was my first job in high school, I worked for my Dad in Temecula, CA. I really enjoyed it and learned so much from him about the trade that I decided to take that knowledge to start my own pool service & repair company here in San Diego.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Weekly pool/spa cleaning and chemical maintenance. Filter cleaning. Miscellaneous equipment repairs. Energy efficient variable speed pump upgrades.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I drained and chlorine washed a pool that had sat green for a few months. Day 1: I put in the pump to start draining it and checked all the equipment functionality. Day 2: I sprayed the pool down, removed large debris by hand and netted out the rest. I poured chlorine down a section of the wall then would scrub each section. After pouring and scrubbing the whole pool I drained the remaining water. I broke down and cleaned the filter. Then I left the hose, attached to an automatic filler, to fill the pool. Day 4: The pool was full by this time so I turned on the pump, added DE to the filter, added about 7 lbs of condition (cyanuric acid) and a gallon of chlorine.
