I had originally found they great folks on Thumbtack; after reading about the very positive reviews they have on Thumb Tack, I decided to give them a try as I was looking for a very affordable solution to my previous HVAC Installer and Maintenance service company. Straight Shooter was very accommodating with scheduling availability. I booked an appt and received a few text messages for confirmation of service date an a reminder 24 prior to the appt date. (Love it when Communication works) Aaron called about 30 minutes in advance to make sure I was home and advised that he would be arriving in about 15-20 Which was right in line with the 11:00-12:00 appt time. I was more than impressed with Aaron's professionalism and knowledge, he asked me a few questions and then he dove right into the service and inspection he made some very helpful mentions about some option items that could be added to my system after I explained that my wife sufferer from allergies and keeping the air quality in our home was important. Aaron explained how each alternative item could enhance the air quality Absolutely ("ZERO" Pressure to do anything beyond the scope of what was discussed for this service visit. I truly appreciated that as I think most people would. We all know the SHYSTERS in this industry and these folks are not part of that mentality. These folks are more about capturing a customer and maintaining a long-term positive relationship with the people they serve. Straight Shooter is all in their name because that was the experience I received and I'm sure you will as well. "It's how they run their business" Props to Aaron! Walter Deal says, "Bob Jenson has serviced our heating/AC system for about 10 years, including replacing a mini-split heat pump system several years ago. Weve also subscribed to their Maintenance Program during the period theyve been servicing our system. Weve always been pleased with their work theyre on time, courteous, and thorough.Let me give one recent example. Our main AC system stopped working one evening only warm air coming out the vents. I called Bob Jenson on the 24-hour number, and they gave me an appointment the next day (try doing that with any AC company on one of the hottest days of the summer if you dont have a Maintenance Program or equivalent). Brian came out, and diagnosed the problem as a bad start capacitor. He said someone would bring a capacitor from their warehouse, and he would wait for it to arrive and then install it. It turned out they didnt have the right capacitor in stock. Brian then went on his own to a supply house, bought the capacitor, returned to our house, and installed it and all is cool. My guess is that most technicians working for most companies would have said they would be back another day with the right capacitor, and would have left us to swelter. I consider Brians effort to be well beyond the call of duty, and exemplifies the service weve received from Bob Jenson."See more
