FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer individual lesson prices as well as packages for discount.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every swimmer is different, so my process usually starts with a short phone conversation where I can learn more about the swimmer’s current experience in the water, comfort level, goals, personality, and any previous swim experiences (positive or negative). This helps me tailor the lessons from the very beginning. For beginners—especially young children or adults who may feel nervous around water—the first sessions are often focused on building trust, comfort, and confidence in the environment. Once that foundation is established, we gradually move into floating, breathing, body awareness, movement patterns, stroke development, and overall technique depending on the swimmer’s age and goals. My teaching approach is very personalized and psychology-informed, meaning I pay close attention not only to technique, but also to how the swimmer is emotionally responding throughout the process. I believe swimmers learn best when they feel safe, supported, encouraged, and challenged at the right pace. After each session, I also like to share simple exercises, drills, or things to practice outside of lessons whenever possible, so progress can continue even beyond our time together. Overall, my goal is to create a supportive and enjoyable learning experience that helps swimmers build confidence, independence, and a positive long-term relationship with the water.
