Introduction: I am passionate about helping couples regain their love for each other. Couple's psychotherapy is very different from indivdiual psychotherapy. After spending more than a decade finely honing my relationship therapy skills, I provide couples with the skills they need to create the relationship they have always dreamed of having. All psychologists, MFTs and LCSWs in California are licensed to provide couple's therapy, but many have had little to no training in how to do it. I have. I get great satisfaction in helping people feel better and create happier lives. People often call me when they are at the lowest, most unhappy points in their lives. It's an amazing experience to be part of so much positive change. I am always honored when someone chooses to me help them when their lives are so difficult.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

About 50% of my practice is working with couples to improve their relationship. I also offer Discernment Therapy to couples, which is a specialized 2-4 session model to help couples determine if they want to stay jn their relationship, maintain the status quo or end their relationship. I spend another 25% of my time working with adolescents and young adults and they work through difficult issues and figure out the next steps they want to take in their lives. Finally, the rest of my practice is spent with helping women and men recover from anxiety, depression, and past traumatic events.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When looking for a psychotherapist, there are a few very important points to consider. First, does the therapist has specialized and/or advanced training in the area in which you need help? Just like doctors, not all thrapists are good at all things. Second, do you feel comfortable with her/him to discuss issues that are uncomfortable for you? The more you tell, the more effective the therapy. Finally, are you getting better? If after 4-6 you don't feel significantly better, tell your therapist and consider finding a new one.
